South Coast Scottish Heritage Association
(SCOSHA) Bournemouth, Dorset

Scosha was set up during October 2006 to promote Scottish traditions and Scottish Country Dance within our local Dorset community and in local schools where invited.

In particular we actively encourage residents/visitors of any nationality to come along and participate with us in the enjoyment of Scottish Country Dance.

Who are we?

The group has developed into a friendly social group with a range of dancing abilities and under the guidance of our Chairman and Dance Teacher Joan Donald group members are also now conducting regular after-school classes for pupils at two Dorset junior schools.

We have also taken our dance workshops overseas when we participated in the 2007 Bedzin Celtic Music Festival in Poland. We are developing links with small groups in Poland who are very appreciative of any help we can offer.
